MHAOhio’s Get Connected Program on the News for World Mental Health Day

October 10 was World Mental Health Day, and MHAOhio was honored to weigh in on the importance of awareness and accessibility.

MHAOhio’s LeeAnn Mattes, Get Connected Program Director, talked with Kennedy Chase of Spectrum News 1 about how to take the first step.

“Help is out there,” LeeAnn told Spectrum News 1. “And again, having somebody holding your hand next to you. Going through that process and helping you connect to care is very important and that’s why we are here.”

Everyone deserves and is entitled to the highest attainable standard of mental health, and MHAOhio is committed to ensuring that for all. We are always happy to share our stories, work to reduce stigma, and help people understand that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know is facing a mental health issue and you’re not sure where to turn, contact Get Connected at (614) 242-4357 to talk with a knowledgeable expert who can help you find the help you need.
