When a client in your care suffers with a mood disorder during pregnancy or postpartum, POEM is a valuable resource regarding peer support and expert understanding of these specific disorders. We are trained to guide and assist other moms in finding the help they need.
Provider Education
POEM provides education** to moms and birthing persons, community health workers, home visitors, clinicians, childbirth professionals, mental health providers, and anyone involved in the care of pregnant and parenting birthing persons.
POEM offers**:
- Assessment of Perinatal Mood/Anxiety Disorders informed by the Postpartum Support International Components of Care Curriculum
- Lunch & Learn: An Overview of Perinatal Mental Health Complications
- POEM Equity Initiative: An Overview of Rise, a branch of POEM for and by Black moms and birthing persons
- POEM Program: An Overview of POEM services, referral, and care navigation
**Subject to availability of program staff. Some sessions may require an instructional fee.
