Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Task Force
LAUNCHED JANUARY 2023
PURPOSE: Increase communication, coordination, and collaboration efforts with the end goal of making Ohio one of the leading states in the country in maternal mental health education and access-to-care and treatment.
The task force will include:
- orIndividuals with lived experience
- Social workers
- Counselors and therapists
- Doulas and other birthworkers
- Community health workers
- Healthcare providers
- Policymakers
…and others who provide care for moms and birthing persons.

Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Resource Line
The POEM Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Resource Line is a service of POEM Statewide for Ohio providers, professionals, and families seeking care and support for clients, patients, and family members outside of central Ohio.
The resource line can provide:
- Resources for available specialized and non-specialized clinical care, both local and statewide
- Information about available community resources for other support needs
- Information about arranging training for providers in your area on maternal mental health complications screening and referral
